Prologue...

Once upon a time, there were two friends who loved stories. They loved telling stories, doing story-worthy things, as well as hearing the stories of others. They knew there were others who felt the same way, and they decided to find a way to hear and tell more stories.

"How will we go about this?" asked one friend, his name was Lenny.

"Oh, I know!" said the other, Ryan, "We could spraypaint stories on the walls of government buildings!"

Lenny pondered this a moment, "But Ryan," he rebutted, "Then we only get to tell stories, not hear any new ones. Nobody's going to respond to our grafitti with stories of their own. Besides, it's hard to write small enough with spraypaint to tell anything longer than a two sentence story."

Ryan could see that he was right, but preferred to be stubborn rather than admit the flaws of his idea and said, "But simplicity is beautiful!"

They argued over this for a long, long time. Three cans of sardines, two cheese sandwiches, one gigantic pile of pencil shavings , and eight French dolphins later, they had almost reached a compromise on the issue. But then their mutual stubborness kicked in again and Lenny kicked Ryan in the shins. Ryan picked up one of the French dolphins and clubbed Lenny over the head.

Suddenly, Lenny was inspired. "I've had the greatest idea!" he said, "We can make an online website, or blog, devoted to our stories and others'."

"God, Lenny is a nerd." Ryan thought, plotting his eventual murder.

But, for now, the idea had merit, so the two set up a blog and began to invite their friends. All they could do now... was wait...
